At his house I think

I'm not in the MissoulaLUG because I live in the Bozeman area and go to the BozemanLUG meetings... but I THINK their meetings are Sean Kelly's house. I take it there is a restaurant or something that has his name... and if so... I don't think the meeting is there... but at his house. Will know more soon.

Missoual LUG meetings

I just found out about yesterday's Missoula LUG meeting today. Seems like they do most of their planning and communication on this Google Group, not on the montanalinux.org site. This was confusing to me as well :p
In the past they've met at Sean Kelly's pub (it's the name of a restaurant, not a person) on the 1st Thursday at 6pm.
However due to concerns about Sean Kelly's being a poor venue, yesterday looks like they changed plans and met at Zootown Brew coffeehouse at 7pm.
Not sure what the future holds for venue or time. I'd join the Google group to make sure you don't miss the next one.
Incidentally, this evening there's a meetup of Montana Coders also in Missoula which may interest some folks here. I'll be there!

I'm not sure who has the ability to publish to the front page. I know I do so I moved it there. I hope that helps.
I'd recommend you use an event rather than a blog posting to announce meetings... then they'd show up on the calendar.
We also have a Zimbra calendar that has all events but I don't know how many people actually use that. If interested let me know and I'll give you write access to that.

Missoula Linux Users Group
I was at Sean Kelley's yesterday from 6:15 to 6:40 and couldn't find the Missoula Linux Users Group. The bartender, Paul said he didn't see any of the group. I'm new to Linux and would like to use a 2000 era P3-650 laptop with a GPS unit and mapping program. It has WinXP Pro on it now and seems very slow.
