Kalispell Users Group???

All -

I am quite interested in starting / sponsoring a Kalispell area linux user group. Any interest from the community? Also - any assistance/advice from the other Montana chapters would be awesome!

Best,

So dakaz is not going to do the Flathead Users Group...

Since his post was over a year ago now... it seems kind of pointless to even worry about it.

And since in that time, there's been only 3 different people that have any interest, well... it seems there's no point.

Oh well, no demand, no need ;)

Kalispell LUG

Hello,
if the kali group gets off the ground, drop a time and place. I've got a few years experience with most major flavors of linux, have a few production solaris machines, worked with freebest from the 4.8 days, know mysql from 3.23 up to 5.1.x, some postgres, good with apache, lighthttpd, etc. Not great with scripting, but have the ability "to get it done"... mostly use bash and ruby.

anyway, if you get this rolling or want some assistance, just leave a note.

thanks,
Jack

Kalispell group

Just found this via an lwn.net article, "Is Red Hat still relevant? You bet." Just wanted to say that I am a linux junkie and am interested in the idea of a local lug. If anything gets going or if you need participation, get in touch with me.

Kalispell Group ?

Hey Curt,

My name is Duane I live in kalispell as well, Down in evergreen I'm looking into trying Linux, A friend of mine at work is always telling my about it and how well it works for saving ones tail when it comes to working with windows. I am new to the linux and am looking for any help that can be provided.
And if you hear any more about a Kalispell Group I would like to jump in and Join as well.

Thanks Duane

Hey Duane

Just ran across this again today. Forgot all about it. Anytime you want to talk about linux, send me an email at "apex AT bresnan DOT net". Linux can easily be used to save the data from windows, all you need is a live cd.
