LUG Meetings

Meet up with Montana Linux people on IRC. We currently gather at the #ubuntu-montana room on the freenode network. Stop in and say "hello" or even ask/answer some questions. Don't have to be a Ubuntu user either. Or use the web-based chat client.

The BillingsLUG hasn't had a meeting in a while but they are hoping to start back up real soon. Really.

My very first entry! ya for me!

Well this is my very first entry for my blog!

I'm going to try and keep this updated as well as I can. I also update a twitter account close to daily as I can...(more on that later).

I have been using Linux as my main OS for the last 4 1/2 years and I'm still blown away by how much stuff is out there. My current systems that I'm running are: Opensuse 10.3, Fedora 8, Backtrack 3(beta), Windows XP (at work).

Currently I'm a big fan of Virtualbox and Miro. For those that don't know Virtualbox is a software that lets you run multiple OSes on one computer with out reinstalling or "dual booting". Miro is a Podcast reader / collector, and right now is my best friend! No more jumping sites to listen/watch the newest podcasts just fire up Miro and away I go.

Welcome Slipp3d,

I've heard of yet never tried Twitter.

I like Miro.

I use virtualbox on my MacBook to run xp. I've also use it to try various distro's of Linux. I keep a file with iso's that the vm can boot from. Did you know that Sun Microsystems just purchased Innotek?
