Screencast: A Brief Introduction to OpenVZ

| | |

The first "Introduction to OpenVZ" screencast that I did was over 1.5 years ago and it has become somewhat outdated... so I decided to make a new one.

If desired, you may download the full-quality Ogg Theora video:

A Request for a new video on OpenVZ series

Hi Scott,
Excellent presentation. Never seen such an extensive presentation on Opnvz. Thank you very much.
I am very impressed with Openvz myself. I have been playing around with Openvz for about 2 weeks now.
Can you please create videos on the following topics?
1) Backup using vzdump. Especially with the "vzdump --snapshot" -(no Downtime) variable (Since it uses LVM2). What about those people who have already created the system with no extra space for the additional LVM2 partition? How would they use --snapshot option.
2)Creating cronjobs for vzdump for auto backups on the network on either smb share, or FTP or NFS, rsync (I have freeNAS in mind)on other Linux boxes.
3) How to rebuild a corrupted container?

These videos will give a complete idea on how to effectively use OpenVZ.

Once again, thanks for your excellent work.
Keep it up.
Cheers!!!
