I would like to announce, a new old forum, for advanced topics on scripting, kernel compiling, packaging deb/rpm, networking, etc... etc...

This used to be a PCLinuxOS forum, but not any more. The Admin wanted to branch out to include any help for Linux, so we took the forum out of the PCLinuxOS community. Most of us use that distro however, so for a while, I guess that will be the focus by default.

Creating a local Synaptic Repository using ad-hoc wireless (PCLinuxOS)

I created a tutorial of sorts for creating a local repo for synaptic, it is written for PCLinuxOS (RPM) but the same process could be used for DEB repositories for any system that uses the Synaptic Package Manager. You can find it here:

Helena Linux Class

I went to sign up for the Linux class at the Helena Adult Learning Center. There was only one other person signed up with 6 minimum required. Looks like it's going to get canceled. I am very disappointed!
